Hello valuable OF Members
I once again need your opinion on this Connie 168.004 offered to me locally.
To me all checked although it is a little bit soft regarding case sharpness but still a pleasing piece for 850$USD.
What are your thoughts please.
Thank you in advance.

Looks pretty good to me
Case isn't that soft - the lugs appear to still have their facets
The dial has some bubbling - but I suspect that its not too obvious when worn
Some signs of rotor rub - and it needs a case gasket.
Pie-pan dial, onyx inserts, original hidden crown - what's not to like

Only issue is that it looks like a replacement crystal which has a retaining ring which is too tight against the indices

IMHO, I think its worth the money

Where I am servicing this one is not that pricey and so is the o ring gasket.
Btw and for my education why did you say "retaining ring too tight"? Because I don't see it obstructs dial letterings... Tks.

its the proximity of the retaining ring to the ends of the indices that looks too tight - there should be more of a gap
(also the proximity to the SWISS MADE)

whilst visually, the closeness of the retaining ring looks uncomfortable, crystals/retaining rings do form part of the waterproofing system in a Constellation - so its always best to get a genuine Omega replacement.

I eventually acquired this Connie via some trade in.
@Peemacgee Retention ring is not that tight to my untrained eyes. What do you think? Thank you for feedbacks.

Well, it appears to have an Omega crystal, so I'm going to guess that the retaining ring is ok.

Congratulations on your new purchase.
