Tri Compax gold crown (and strap/band) needed

New member here. I've had a gold TriCompax for years, and finally hoping to have it restored fully for use. The watch seems to function well, but the gold "cap" of the crown is missing, leaving just a sad stump. A restoration shop said they can laser weld a new cap onto it, but I'd prefer a vintage crown if somebody has a spare or is parting out a watch. It's a 1940's production, 12266 model, serial 1028xxx.

The other unobtainium part would be either a gold UG buckle or an original band. It has some atrocious gold plated band on it now that I wouldn't put around my neighbor's obnoxious cat's neck. Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't stress too much about the crown, no need for an original vintage crown, just find something that looks reasonably good. I'm not sure if you are aware but the dial has been redone in the past, which has a significant impact on value, but hopefully will not diminish your enjoyment of the watch. You should be able to get a "U" buckle, there's lots of fakes floating around, but honestly assuming the price is cheap, for this watch, I wouldn't stress too much if it was a modern repro or correct vintage. Getting a vintage UG strap is tough and even if you find something you like, the leather often doesn't hold up well, or bend well, so I would just find a modern strap that you like.
Good luck !
