Spending a couple days in Vancouver to warm back up after a trip to the Yukon in about a month. Any places I need to check out?

Doubt I'd spend more than $1000 USD but I'm always looking for nice value vintage or a bargain on a Seiko, Tissot, Tag, Hamilton, etc., that is good quality.

Bring an umbrella, it will be needed :(

Otto Freidl has some used watches for sale, they are in downtown. Dont really know of any other places that sell used. Few other Vancouverites are on here, so they may have more info than me.

You might want to check the Vancouver Omega boutique just to look, maybe pick up some swag.
Nice people, I was there in September.

Good idea, they won't mind a little slobber and drool on the display cases ;)

Good you're not coming from the south. New President starts tomorrow. Half of liberal Seattle is packed up and leaving the country. Lots of traffic.

Couple hours from DC, glad I don't have to travel this weekend. I have a few things on the way and apparently FedEx orders are actually being delayed on the east coast due to the inauguration.

Otto is the only place for consignment vintage really on a regular basis, I wouldn't say we have a great selection of vintage retailers here, but the collector community is decent.

PM when you are here, just met up with some people tonight

I'm actually coming from Arkansas. Just breaking the trip to the Yukon up so I don't spend all day flying and waiting in airports.

Might do it, hell my wife may not be speaking to me after four days in a cabin.

After four days in a cabin you will definitely be thirsty! If you tell us a few days in advance I'm sure we can put together a little GTG. As @grizzlycanuck said there are a few of us here.

Had to make some travel adjustments and won't be able to get out for meeting, but may start planning a summer trip just to get to meet some of you.

A bit late to the party but prices at Otto Friedl are a bit inflated. You definitely won't be getting a deal, even with the US exchange.
