I'd debate "GREAT CONDITION" after seeing that chunk out of the bezel, but the dial is original IMO. WAY overpriced though. Correct crowns are easy enough to come by. As a matter of fact, I think I even have one in gold and one in stainless laying around here somewhere.

It's an ok example, but I don't see it going for $900. I'm not liking that dent at 6, but I guess you could find a better case. Bowler crown looks correct but very worn down.

IF the price is right there are enough of these that you could swap a case later.

If there's enough I could wait for a better example too. ;) also, I'm hoping and praying for a constellation example one day. So better start saving now..

I threw in an offer if $700 an then bailed. The seller was really aggressive and had a bad attitude when answering my questions about the movement so I bailed while I still had some dignity..

Sold it a couple years back. Kyle, Steve, and a host of others have owned / own these 2757's or 2627's.

Well...I did sell mine to fund the Centenary. I like the 2627 case style better, so I want to add one of those in the future.

What are the differences? I quite like the arrows on this opposed to the numbers..

The gold on black date wheel is original and unusual. In fact, don't think I've ever seen one before. However, it's not worth $1,250, $900, or even $700 in that condition. Crown looks original, but the gold plating has come off.

Looks more like like $500 to me, maybe a little bit more for the date wheel.

    A worthy flip.

Alex, before you ask, the difference is where the lugs meet the case. Mine above is a 2757 and Steve's is a 2627. Note the notches on the outside edge of the lugs as the case are more pronounced on the 2627. Only the calibers 353 and 355 came inside these, and usually the 353 = 2627 and 355 = 2757. The date window shape is a tip off too - the square was the earlier models, from introduction in 1952 into 1953 when the trapezoid shape took over. Same rules apply to the white waffle and crosshair enamel dialed versions of these two case references.

EDIT: I see you asked already while I was posting. The home plate shaped indices or numbers at 12, 3, and 9 were options on all the dials too. The watch in the eBay listing is a 2627.

Thanks. I've seen a few of these, but not as many as the other two types.

Only one other in pink gold cap, though.
