Ok, I'm going full "ZED" here. Trainspotting is the anglo-amatuer hobby or interest in observing and then identifying trains. The term was co-opted in the early 90's by the U.K. rave culture where ravers would "spot" tracks in DJ performances and then create set-lists after a night of grinding their minds into mincemeat from ecstacy, ketamine and acid. But, I digress. So here's my first trainspot and it's an easy one. (I know this has probably been done on other message boards but lettuce not be so cereal all the time and lettuce have some fun). Steve Martin, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, 1987 Piaget Polo (hot watch but they always break).
I would not wear that on a train, I would not wear that on a plane. I would not want to travel solo, especially with a battery powered Polo.
This is a Roche Viccot. The thinnest water-resistant watch in the world. Singularly unique, sculptured in design, hand-crafted in Switzerland, and water resistant to three atmospheres. This is *the* sports watch of the '80s. Six thousand, nine hundred and fifty five dollars retail! ...it tells time simultaneously in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Rome, and Gstaad. Dan Aykroyd, Trading Places, 1983.
Here ya go: http://watchesinmovies.info Have fun! The watch in "The Sorcerer" is a Lucian Piccard. Unfortunately, the 'contact' email doesn't work.
