TPD (and direction) for a 752 Mechanism

Good afternoon all

I acquired my Seamaster (with 752 mechanism) a couple of years ago and have used intermittently since (interchange with 3 other watches, not all Omega, sorry!!). When on wrist it keeps time perfectly. I recently invested in a watch-winder to better look after it when not being worn but its not happy. I've been on several sites and (probably poorly) hunted through various forum contributions but have struggled to find the ideal TPD/Direction for this specific mechanism.

Am sure it would also benefit from a good service as well (which will due in due course) but my first task is to see how it performs when properly set up on the Winder. Any help/advice gratefully received.

Very best

It winds in both directions. To find the TPD for any watch that you can’t find this information for, start off on the highest setting, and then reduce in steps to find the minimum required.

If the watch isn't "happy", it's possible that the auto-winding mechanism is not operating properly and the watch may need to be repaired/serviced. Now ... not in due course. If it hasn't been serviced in a long time, keeping it on a winder is just going to create additional wear and tear and possibly exacerbate the problems.

Thank you both very much for your respective advice - looks like its off for its service first. We've just moved, so time to hunt down a good West Country watchmaker...
