··Most fun screen name at ΩFI received an enquiry from a new member, apparently joined to ask about a piece I had for sale.
No history, in a foreign country, he was afraid I would think he was a scammer.
Now, would a real scammer point it out?
He was a patient, understanding and committed buyer. I haven't shipped international in some time and things, to the EU at least, have gotten a lot tighter, I think. I aborted the deal once having issues with the shipper and my paperwork and fear the import costs to my buyer would be overly burdensome. He convinced me to try again, I did, found my original long list of mistakes and oversights and overcame them. He had to answer multiple questions from Customs - "What is the leather in the band?", etc.
Against all odds, @Tournik reported receiving his watch.
Thanks for being such a good partner!
