·I compared one of their nails against a box of Home Depot nails I had driving them into boards. The HD nails bent most of the time with an off-center strike and once you pulled them they were useless. The US made nails drove perfectly strait every time and I was able to reuse them over and over. Still when a few boxes of them.
You get what you pay for.
That is why we can't have nice things for long in a profit oriented industrial society : a corporation can't live too long selling affordable good quality reusable stuff. It ends up throwaway, or eye popping expensive. Or both, sadly.
Think Hasselblad for ex: their newest stock from the 500 family in the years 2000 was competing with their second hand stuff 30 years older...
