I compared one of their nails against a box of Home Depot nails I had driving them into boards. The HD nails bent most of the time with an off-center strike and once you pulled them they were useless. The US made nails drove perfectly strait every time and I was able to reuse them over and over. Still when a few boxes of them.

You get what you pay for.

That is why we can't have nice things for long in a profit oriented industrial society : a corporation can't live too long selling affordable good quality reusable stuff. It ends up throwaway, or eye popping expensive. Or both, sadly.

Think Hasselblad for ex: their newest stock from the 500 family in the years 2000 was competing with their second hand stuff 30 years older...

On rare occasions, if you wait long enough, things come full circle. Thanks to DJI’s ownership and new direction for Hasselblad, they have abandoned the cumbersome and overpriced dying H-system and finally gave us what we wanted 20 years ago.
