Hi guys I'm totally new to watch collecting but a well known auction house has a piece coming up that has taken my eye.

Before I purchase I would like to know a little more about the history of this model and (in your opinion) it's worth.

The watch is listed as OMEGA VINTAGE SEAMASTER GENTS 14CT GOLD WATCH AND 14CT GOLD BRACELET. WATCH FEATURES A VINTAGE DIAL AND AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT. COMES WITH BOX & LEATHER STRAPAND A GOLD BRACELET

    Below are pics

Thanks in advance for any help received:)

You do realise that their watches are sold as seen pawnbroker watches with no guarantee that they are genuine or even working? No returns if it turns out to be a dud. Extreme caution recommended.
I forgot to mention the 44% in VAT and buyers premium.

I realise caution must be used, the auction in question I have used before for other goods and all has been well. this however is my first move into watches hence my posting here looking for a little info and guidance

Do your homework. I did a lot of homework but not enough. My first watch is OK but 2nd could be redial and still not sure.

I speak as a relative noob who didn't do enough due diligence and got doo-doo. ;)
Slow down and and enjoy the learning experience.

Just the newby tax, and we all have paid it, just the amount varies.

Tax on this was $375. At some point I will sell it, but the watch has been sitting unworn 3+ years. Ugh!!
