    Hey all,

I am not sure if this is something that I am allowed to post or whether anyone will find it useful, but today I was at the Topanga Westfield Mall in Canoga Park, CA and the salesperson had told me of two promotions that are available.

First, he mentioned that if you purchase an Omega, they will pay for a service on a second Omega you own up to $500. Great if you already have another one that needs a service and past warranty.

Second, they told me that starting Monday, the mall itself is running a promotion of a $500 gift certificate if you make a purchase of $5000+ in the mall. The salesperson did mention that the duration of the promotion is up to the mall’s discretion, but usually lasts approximately a week.

Hope this is helpful info for someone.

PS. I am neither an employee of the mall or Omega. LOL I just wanted to pass on the info that the salesperson told me. Also, don’t get mad at me if the details aren’t exact, if I’m misheard something.

Meh. Still cheaper to buy from resellers. And the whole up to $500 for service on a different Omega thing is dumb, since the cost of servicing a mechanical watch from Omega starts at $550.

You might be able to negotiate that before any sale there.

And it was an actual Swatch-owned boutique with a warranty card stamped OMEGA BOUTIQUES USA, and not an Authorized Dealer?

Nice, how much did you negotiate off?

I think it ended up around 9%. I think I could have pushed them a bit further, but I’m not that great a negotiator. Sure I could have got it cheaper elsewhere (especially gray), but I do have a relationship with the OB now...been invited to a couple of events, offered opportunity to leave deposit for 50th anniversary Speedy (I passed) and so on.

I am not sure if they would cover the first $500 and you pay the difference or the total must be under that amount. I didn’t really inquire further since I don’t have an omega yet, so that was a moot point for me.
