I bought a 6111 clone off of ebay for a few bucks, and it was fairly awful. I then bought a official 6767-F and it is a night and day difference. The tips are much better quality, and significantly easier to change straps and not screw anything up.

Do the tips keep stable on the Bergeon?
I have another tool where the tip is starting to wobble...

Bergeon is tight, and the forks seem to be more durable than others I have tried.

For references with lug holes, the paper clip works as well as anything else.

Mine was not a cheapy, I'll have to check what it was.... the lug hole is fine, it's the fork that's coming loose.

I use mine more than most here I would guess, and I've used it for years. Every few years I replace the small fork as it does gets worn, but otherwise I've never had a problem with mine...

Used this for years, 1.40mm. On the advice of an old watchmaker. Less mishaps, less blood. I can do it very quickly and with no damage.
But whether this or a Bergeon 6767-F, to me the key is getting proficient with the tool you select. If you are doing 1-2 watches a year you are not going to be as good as Dennis doing scores of Speedmasters. In that case call a watchmaker (a real one like Al, not the guy in the mall or the jewelry store)

I have the toughest time changing the band on the Bulova Moon watch so I took it to a jeweler and he did it in 2 seconds. I need a better tool maybe one of the one's suggested in this post

    Dog avatars. Luv'em.

I like to tease the pet dogs in the park too, letting them chase me. I let them get close so they think they almost got me before I ran up the tree. Suckers! :p They'll never learn. It's funny to watch their masters chasing after them too.
