I see a lot of member here are into watches, fountain pens, cars, audio equipment - fun to both use, and collect. I have a number of oil and watercolor paintings, some decoys and othe pieces of sculpted art. I seem to be tiring of the latter: it's on the wall or the desk of your office or home, you glance at it once a day or once a week, and that's it. That's pretty much the extent of your relationship with the item.

With the usable collectibles, you can fix them, search for parts, inquire about whether they're working correctly - so much more to obsess over and enjoy. That's my thinking, at least lately. What about you?

When Picasso said “Art is a lie which makes us realize the truth” he wasn’t kidding.
