    HI guys,

On the hunt for a Jubilee for my 1978 OPD and this has been sitting on ebay for a little bit. Price is on the higher side but it seems to have all its links (looks like 2-3 more inside the clasp). If it were a steal I would just buy it and possibly have it redone, but for $500 I expect it to at least be serviceable for years to come. I am horrible at judging when the "stretch" on these crosses from 'not too bad' to clapped out and on death's door. I am good at judging it on Oyster's but jubilee's are a foreign language to me.
    Appreciate any input.

The last shot nails it. As Bones would say, "He's dead, Jim."

Ugh! That's disappointing. Has the right end links too. I know I could send it to Roliiworks for $300, but then I have $800 into a bracelet that is not worth that. And I asked if they would take an offer lower and they said no. Date code isn't correct anyway on the clasp so I guess it's better if I don't them.
    Back to the drawing board.

Have you ever used RolliWorks to service a watch?

They are very close to where I live and I am considering taking an Old Omega there for service. They said they can get Omega parts if needed.

I haven't but I've read the threads and they seem very responsive on the message forums I read. At first I balked at the $300 for them to redo a bracelet compared to Michael Young at $180. But once you factory in shipping to and from HK, it's pretty close for cost. Please go check them out and let us know how their operation looks. Maybe even take some pics if they let you.

Would it be worth requesting another picture with the classical bracelet stretch angle? 89C914E3-8AB5-401A-A363-25E02F15B9DD.jpeg

It could. The pic of the stretch is on a funny angle which could be exaggerating it. I’m not horribly hard up, but the 62510 with the 19mm endlinks seem to be less common than the 555’s. Of course I could buy the bracelet and endlinks separately but was hoping for one stop shopping and a plug-&-play.

That bracelet is entirely suitable for resurrection

Once restored, it’s good for decades

Even stretched, its perfectly wearable…they simply do not, separate unexpectedly

Just spend the money, and stop ‘fanny’ing around’

    Done.
Thank you @ICONO - the push I needed. Yes it has stretch, they all do if they were worn for any length of time- it’s a fact of Rolex life. I have dicked around for months thinking about what bracelet to put on this watch, haven’t been happy with any straps, it needed a proper bracelet. The 62510’s with 574 endlinks don’t come up that often...so I guess it’s mine now and if I need to have it rebuilt at some point- then oh well.
    Thanks for the input.

And I already have an oyster on my 14000 Airking and another one on this would have been almost redundant so the jubilee will be a nice contrast.

For reference this is a Rolex Jubilee with zero stretch looks like. I bought it in an AD a couple of month ago.

That's on a 16710? What the ref no of the bracelet and end links? The AD was fine ordering it? Was it originally on an oyster?

Yes, it is on a 16710. I bought it used, so I can’t say if the bracelet I bought it on was the original, but the watch was in really mint condition, I would say almost NOS, as was the 93150 bracelet, so it could very well be the original. No signs of bracelet change.

For a GMT from 1993 the correct Oyster bracelet would be 78360 without the fliplock but I have seen several “older” GMT’s on 93150, which could imply that some people chose to have the more secure bracelet of the Submariner installed. Dunno but makes sense.

The Jubilee is the 62510H and the endlinks are 502T. I bought it from an AD/RSC when I had the watch serviced. They were just fine with me buying it since it was the correct reference bracelet for that watch. Had I wanted a Jubilee on my 14060M Submariner I don’t think they would have done it.

What endlinks would have been used with the 93150 on a GMT? I have been on the hunt for a period correct bracelet for my '83 16750 and the 78360/580's and 63510H-50/550's are either all clapped out or unrealistically expensive. Would be nice to have an alternative.

I believe a mid 80’s Oyster bracelet came with 593 endlinks for the GMT as it did for the Submariner. I have an '85 16800 on its original Oyster with '85 clasp code and it has 593 endlinks. From the introduction of the 16610 I believe the endlinks switched to 501B which is on my '95 clasp code 93150 (as well as my 2001 Submariner).

The 78360 came with the 580 for the 16750 standard but knowing now that the 93150 was an option it makes me wonder what other endlinks were coupled up with that case. The 16800 and all other subs have a thicker case than the GMT so even though they are the same width and case profile, the 593 wouldn’t be correct.

A couple of threads of TRF. Some people have been nerding this topic a lot it seems :)

Not sure the question is answered but always fun to read these threads on the intricate details of our watches :)

    I think the 78360 fits with 501 endlinks for a 16760 or a 16710.
    The combination 78360 bracelet and 580 endlinks belongs to 1600, 1610, 1603, 16013 and 16014.
