Hi guys, I came across this Omega 2576 and I'm interested but not sure if this is too much patina? Will the patina continue to grow and eventually consume the entire dial? Other than that, I really like the color tone of the dial and the case doesn't appear overpolished. The movement seems reasonably clean too.
What are your thoughts on this example? My concern is that the patina continues to "evolve" but this shouldn't be an issue if I have a watchmaker install fresh gaskets to minimize moisture entering the case? Maybe I'm overthinking this.... Price is $900 so it's definitely not a bargain-bin, bottom of the trash heap find by any means.
The patina may evolve, but I think it will be over the course of decades, not months. See if you can work the price down a little and enjoy it!
Not mine, too much "patina", but if you like it, go 4 it. For me it is not patina from "normal" getting older, it seems that its the result from too high humidity in the case.
I think it looks great! Agreed the price is too high though, I’d think $650 top of the mark. Also wondering about the hands... lume doesn’t seem to match, maybe replacement?
