V V clean, no Swiss marking. Hard to say, it look great but could well be a repaint.

I thought that the combination of brushed finish, concentric circles being present and mirror numbers must mean it was Omega made?

I'd expect a perfect case with a dial like that...

I would be very suspicious - to me the dial looks a bit too new with the vertical grain. Omega text looks kind of wide, but they used a lot of fonts on the jumbos. For this dial style track, usually the hour markers are a bit out of the concentric circles from what I have seen. Also, I usually see this dial design with little dots for the minute track and leaf hands.

First and foremost it looks great.
However, I think it might be a redial as the markings in the sub dial don't look 100% centred to me, it could be the angle of the photo they just look closer at the top of the subdial than at the bottom.
That and it just looks too damn good, so maybe envy is clouding my judgement!

Looks very nice, and I'm not an expert but doesn't the subdial paint look a tad too thick?

It does seem suspiciously clean to me and I don't think I've ever seen hands that spotless on a vintage. The title of the ebay listing suggests it's from 1942 - if that is really the case then it seems impossible to have an original dial in that good condition. I doubt it would even look like that if the box was unopened since 1942!

You'd be surprised how well these features can be reproduced.

With a dial that fresh I would expect the hands to be near flawless and matching as well.

    I vote really nice refinish.

I guess my gut must have been saying the same thing as I did not bid.
Must be some great refinishers out there, it does look fantastic.

I note however no-one has said "definite refinish because of X, Y, Z, here is the proof"
Kyle is the closest to it.
Just peoples spidey sense going off.
    Thanks for all the insight.

I think that you're probably correct, but I still think it looks great. At the right price I would happily wear it anyhow.

It's a redial. Look at the edge at 3:00 Small edge mark to line it up for printing

Doesn't bother me as it's a nice looking job and can only make the watch look nicer

I don't do redials, but that is almost nice enough and old enough to justify a well done redial.

Do you know who did this dial? I have a 333 RG that needs to be done from a bad first redial.::censored::
