Plotting a third London GTG for 2016... Thinking the 8,9,15 or 16 August.

The venue we have used in the past now wants a £300 minimum spend for the private room... So we might have to start eating as well as drinking there if we want to have the privacy of past meets.

Would people be up for that?

Any of the dates above preferable?

Any other suggestions?

What a bummer £300 is a lot of crap food for us to order there... It was/ is an excellent venue.

I am most likely out of the country first couple of weeks in Aug, but might be back 15/16...

Well, there's a lot of places around here, Islington way, that are worth a visit.

 

The challenge is a private room, where they don't charge you for it, or want a huge minimum spend... the joy of events.

Ok a couple of whacky ideas, didn't bhi move the science museum. Do either of them have a room for use. Or brittish library etc. Not likely to get a pint during. Hipflask only!

Science museum isn't open in the evening, except for lates. Cheapest room hire is £800... Which isnt going to happen.

Couple of pubs with private function rooms in the works.

Have a NEW location booked close to Moorgate station, that doesn't have a minimum spend, and will let us have a private room for drinking/talking nonsense in.
