Went shopping to a small local town with the wife today walking past one of the antique shops saw this in the window Haggled the price down to £500 from £695 Anyway I was busting for the loo and only place I could find was a slot machine place. I asked if could use the toilet reply was only if you play a machine so chose a machine put in 2 quid. Long story short 1st press £100 then 2nd press £500 happy days Gave the wife the £100 put the £500 in the bank to pay for the watch BTW didnt come with the omega strap only one I had which was 19mm
I too really like these 18K Chronographs Suisse pieces. I have 3 now. Yours looks in pretty good nick, they get banged up easily as the gold is very thin in places and use a brass spacer round the movement and a brass inner caseback for strength. The price was pretty fair too. The £0 even better!
Sweetest. I paid more than that for one missing a pusher .... And still searching! That'll be a Landeron inside?
I love it! Getting it for free is just the cherry on top. I had a similar incident once, but I screwed it up. I was lusting after some really expensive Swarovski Binoculars, but couldn't bring myself to pay the $2500 for them. I had dropped the wife off at a nearby casino while I was shopping for hunting/gun stuff for several hours. I met back up with her at the Casino, and got some "free play" by signing up for their reward system. My plan was to take the free play, max bets on video poker, and I told her that if I hit a jackpot, I'd go back and buy the Swaro's... we'll, I was so busy chatting her up, I neglected to pay attention to my betting, and had someone gone back to betting the smallest amount, and sure enough, hit a royal flush that paid $400, but would have payed $4000 had I not goofed up the bet amount. Oh well.
I have one in the NS orientation which I think might be a Venus 170 but not certain. Most are Landeron 48. These are a lot of watch for the money. Not a great pic: And a couple of Landerons:

I'd put money on that being a Venus 170. All 12/6 Chrono Suisse's seem to have those, curious since they were meant as cheap chronos and that's a column wheel movement.
I've got a standing search on eBay - everything I've seen so far, including those two, are later cases and have different shaped pushers.
