i am new to the forum.
i was looking for an speedmaster cal. 321 for a long long time.
recently i was tempted and i bought a 2015 speedmaster, i was very happy with it until i started wondering if i was impatience and i should wait and buy a 321.
should i sell the new speedmaster?
should i wait for a couple of months a buy a vintage one along side the new one (what is the point )

what is your thoughts

 

..or hold on to your 2015 Speedy and in the year 2055, it will transform itself into a vintage!

 

I think it comes down to why you want the watch.

I had the same exact issue and sold my "modern" speedy hoping to one day get vintage piece....then I got distracted buying other stuff so now I have no speedy period.

 

i waited an year before buying it, and i know that there is a lot of junk out the but i own more vintage watches than new ones.
but u have a good point...

I think you have a great looking speedy with warranty left in the bank. I would hold the current watch and see how it ends up resonating with you after some wear. There's no rush to flip.

 

Easy. Sell everything and get a vintage Mark II.

You can never own enough Speedmasters.

I think in addition to the vintage speedy, you should look at some of the LEs.

Average number of speedies per Omega forum members with 3+ years membership is 3.25 speedies. Ok, well I have no idea if this is true, so I will offer this picture.

I looked at 321s ended up buying a new one and am enjoying making it a vintage myself. Daily watch and gets the occasional bump and it adds to the charm of being mine. 20 years from now I will know how that bezel got a little dent instead of thinking how someone else done it. ( bezel has not got a dent yet but can't wait till it does )

The exception is those that have "speedy hoarder" in their sub. Not sure what it takes to earn "speedy hoarder", my guess 50+ speedies. Can you imagine a GTG with 2 or 3 of the hoarders on this site?
