Ok, so I'm thinking of getting a really bad tarnished Constellation PiePan with a pretty rotten dial, but with nice Arrowhead markers and the applied OMEGA logo and star on the dial, and getting the whole thing, case, BoR bracelet and dial PVD coated, then the furniture and applied logos reinstalled on the dial. So something like this, with everything matte black except the dial furniture and OMEGA logo / Constellation star I figure if Panerai can do it, so can I
I think it'll have a very military feel to it The stock arrowheads on black pvd might be a pretty stark contrast, I'm not sure it'll look good.
Sorry, I would have to say NO. I could maybe see doing a 50s Seamaster, but a Constellation is too elegant for PVD, kind of like a matte finish on an expensive luxury car, yeah, matte black RR Phantoms are big here in LA, ugh!
I'd forgotten this thread and just the title gave me palpitations all over again.I'm assuming Ash was just stirring and was disappointed with the polite if firm negative feedback. I think there's not a lot that would get you stick on this board, but surely pvding an arrowhead Connie would do it?
Why don't you try Rose gold PVD. Nobody would mind then. Black PVD would suit better for Sport watch. Darth Vader and DSOM comes into my mind.
