Beats me why correct DON bezels havent been reproduced yet. I'll machine them - anyone in for the printing? 😁
I'm surprised no one is producing "after market" parts for Omega watches/movements in an even more general sense, especially as the "year of the end of access to parts (for all but fully qualified/certified watchmakers)" is beginning.
anyone want to go on Shark Tank and pitch the idea for a startup?
I dont know if i would like that.
The tiny difference in the parts which evolved over the years is what makes our
hobby so interesting. Sure someone might be able to produce a similar looking DON bezel, but if i bought one knowing that, it still would bother me. Its the same with
these new crowns that have the old logo.
I still would rather prefer an original vintage one.
All the vintage parts can still be found, the fast and expensive way when they are rightly labeled, like the bezel which is on ebay right now or you got to be patienced and look beyond and deeper, then you will find some gems beyond this rubbish.
I found a vintage old logo crown for 35€
and i also found 2 DON bezel, one for free because i sold the other parts it came with and one for less then 100€ all in the last year.
It just takes time and you have to have a sharp eye.
Thats why i love this hobby, its always the hunt.... for the right part or the right watch
