So I am looking to buy this seamaster off a seller for my dads birthday & this is one of the few pieces I can afford.

As a short time lurker on the forum I have a very rudimentary knowledge of dials/radials(the omega logo & lettering seems ok but I realise not listing “automatic” on the dial might be a bit of a red flag)

The “Swiss made” is very close together but I’ve seen 1 or 2 deville’s on this forum with this spacing, although not a manual.

Also I realise the hands have no lume but again I have seen examples with this feature.

My main concern is that I have no pictures of the movement but I am hoping if the dial is in reasonable condition so is the movement(99.9% likelihood)

As the seller lists the Watch as keeping “excellent time” would a service & Crystal replacement negate the purchase value. Thanks in advance, amazing community! good luck on your search for a watch as gift to your dad's birthday. wish we can see more of your choices, if any. otherwise, the deville is pretty much in order for the special occasion.

Probably not an automatic. Maybe a cal. 601 manual winder. Nice movement.

The possible reason the seller doesn't show the movement is it's a front loading watch; to remove the movement you pull the crystal.

    Nice looking dress watch.

Looks to be a crack in the crystal. Relatively easy to source but needed for sure.
