Hello everyone, Just got into the vintage omega scene and now hunting for my very first. Came unto this forum and was very much overwhelmed by all the information. Would like experts in board to advice if this timepiece is worth the quid. The condition looks too good to be true. He has serviced this piece and replaced the crystal. It's priced @ 2050usd Omega seamster 600 Model 136.011 Case size 34.5mm Year 1966 Your advice on this is very kuch appreciated.
I’m guessing this is from Omegaenthusiast? Looks completely original and correct but the price is probably 3x the actual value. If you want a one stop shop for a genuine and correct vintage Omega, without doing any of your own due diligence or research, it’s an option but be aware you’re paying significantly for the privilege.
Yes you are absolutely right. I understand I'm paying the premium here. I can't seem to find anything close to what he has to offer on the open market though.
Yes. This specific dial with the numerals and the condition of the piece seems so perfect. Maybe I would need to do more digging around.
Outrageous price, but that is what you will end up paying if you buy form a dealer. I sold a very similar Seamaster 600 (with date) on here a while ago for the equivalent - after negation - of 930 dollars. And that included an original box and buckle. https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...kle-136-011-cal-611-uncommon-dial-869€.92332/
Hello all, I have been relentless for my search for Arabic numeral dials in the past month and I have found this. From my studies, this watch seem to be accurate overall but I would love to have a second opinion here from you guys. This is currently priced at around 2300usd. I know it's overpriced as hell but I think I will pull the trigger nonetheless, it looks to be serviced in Jan 2019 from the photos. This seem to be the perfect addition to my collection.
It most certainly is! Nobody here is going to say "Good choice, go ahead". So what is the point of your post? Madness. (Couldn't find an emoticon of someone flinging dollars into the air)
Unless you need that watch NOW, don't buy it at that ridiculous price. This is not a $2300 watch. It is not a $1000 watch. If you ever wish to sell it (have you ever tried one on??), you will lose around $2k.
I commend you all for your patience, although I suspect several of you cursed aloud when you read this thread.
That would be an absolute terrible purchase. The dial has some spotting/patina, the movement could be better and the case has seen some polishing. And don't even get me started on the price.. Stay patient. A month is not a long time, and a nice example at a reasonable price will come along.
