I've grown fond of the titanium look and feel of my X-33, so now i'm looking for a more water-resistant chronograph and settled on something in titanium also. I can find 44mm Seamaster chronographs in titanium, but I think it may be a little large for me. Did Omega make their standard size Seamaster chrono in 41- 42mm titanium?

I had one for a while. My wrist is small at 165mm (6.5") but the 2298.80 was relatively comfortable. The crown and crown guard stuck into the top of my hand a little, but not too much. It was a very nice watch. Watch out for faded red on the subdial hands and part of the central chrono hand tip. Easy to source and replace. Also be sure to get all of the bracelet links. My only qualm with that series of Seamaster chronos is that the dial is very busy, making quick readings a bit tricky. Good luck in the hunt!

Great watch! Chunky, but if you're a fan of Ti you'll be very happy with it.

What if the hands are half faded like this one? Was this an indication of earlier or later builds, or should I be concerned it might be a fake? Thanks! [IMG]

Early ones are known to fade like that, Trev had one and its hands were almost completely white

Good to know. I found this one for $1100 and it's in good shape besides the faded hands. I think I'll go for it. Thanks!

Well you've done well, the 2298.80 is worth about double that in general
