    Hi all,

Had posted about a Tissot I had found a few months back. Just got it back from a servicing today. I don't have a movement picture just yet (watchmaker wasn't in today, so couldn't ask the jeweller to take the caseback off), but I'll add one soon. It's a bumper automatic, presumably from the early 1950s. There's a inscription on the back. Someone got this as a very nice Christmas present back in 1952. We'll have to see whether the serial number matches the same year as the inscription.

Overall I believe it's in great condition. No signs of gold wear or chipping. Few small scratches on the dial. We'll have to see whether it keeps time after the servicing. but timing bench seemed to indicate it was. Very pleasant buttery clicks with winding, and the clunking sensation from the bumper is amazing.

The lume is radium. Seems like the lume from the hands has aged differently from the hour markers. I confirmed it was radium with an industrial geiger counter as per below. Higher reading is over crystal, lower reading is from case back. I believe the hands are original. They match what I've seen on similar models (although it's hard to find the same dial configuration on the internet).

Brown strap is a Cola Reb, and the blue strap is from Hirsch.
    -J.
