I bought one for the kid and one for me. Anyone else? Did I need another beater? Hell no! Do I need unsubscribe from Timex e mails? Apparently. Timex is just too addicting. Yes the 12 hour bezel makes no sense but the rest is quite compelling. Love the battery hatch.

I kind of like it... Cool idea to get your kid one. All my watches will go to my daughter when I go into the ground.

I kind of regret deciding I didn't need another watch. I love that bracelet.

Lovely dial, with those non-Mercedes Mercedes hands (prefer them to Mercedes!), that great bracelet that is very reminiscent of the NSA ones, and an easy access battery hatch (wish my 1970 Timex Electric had one!), what's not to like?
Great catch.

He was looking over my shoulder at the e-mail. He is always ogling my 1675 so I figured, well there is an easy birthday present! Yes he’s already called out which are not to be sold.

Since this is only 38mm, i kinda prefer the "soda bezel" glycine at Drop.com

To each his own. IMO this watch has the retro cool factor.

It is cool, but even a 40mm 5-digit Rolex looks too small on my wrist - the newer fat lug 6-digit models are just barely big enough. Hence my liking the larger Glycine.

I do like that Glycine. Hell of a deal. It’s interesting to see where folks fall on watch size. 191 mm wrist and I’m good between 34-42mm. I find that a bold strap can make a smaller watch pop. My collection goes from 34mm up to 44mm. Revelation for me years ago was wearing my 35mm uni compax one day with a suit and realizing how comfortable a smaller watch is.

Hang in there. From a post on the Dink: Seems they were shocked at the speed with which these were snapped up. They will restock. If you want one, sign up for emails.

I'm on the Timex mailing list in case they have more, as I have it in mind for a gift for someone this Christmas. But I already pulled the trigger on the Glycine previously, and haven't decided if it will be for me, my son, or my brother yet.

It's funny that for decades I could wear a 36mm Rolex, but once I delved into larger watches about 10 years ago I started to get Rose Colored Glasses about how a smaller watch looked on my 7.25" wrist (wide and flat wrist).

How did autocorrect change "wide and flat wrist" to "wide and flawless wrist"?

Here it is guys. I am very pleased with the the heft, size, level of finish and crown operations. For a $170 watch, pretty amazing. Pains me to have to put it away until August when I give my son his.
