So let us all relax, put the electronic device aside and enjoy life until the articles and photos are released. 馃憤

I wonder if Robert-Jan is reading this thread and giggling like a little schoolgirl because he knows what the new models are.

Where is he by the way??

I strongly feel this is the time he should pitch in to say hello!!

My 9y.o. is struggling to be patient when there is an upcoming event that he really, really wants to go to - the few days before then, we keep hearing "when are we going", "this is too long", "how much time left", "I can't wait", "this is too long", "why do I have to wait", "how much longer will we wait", "this is too long", "why so much waiting", "can we go now", ...

this thread just feels spending time with my 9 y.o. in such situations....

Rome wasn't built in one day.
Apple keynote addresses were not built in one day...
and with appears to have been a rash decision by Hayek, despite their best intentions, I do not believe that Swatch group nor Omega top brass had enough time to pull something as fancy as what you describe above together.

Live streaming addresses are not difficult to pull off these days, they are pretty much ubiquitous.

Ref. the Swiss business speed, important to recall that Raynald/Omega managed to execute the first Speedy Tuesday from an initial chat with Robert-Jan to product launch via internet reservation in nine months. I think the main issue with TimeToMove was having to get all the Swatch brands aligned together. I am pretty sure Omega as a standalone brand could have done something more ambitious.

I was in Rio during the last Olympics and saw first hand the huge infra Omega put together not only for the Olympic timing but also the Omega House and VIP events in front of Ipanema beach. They are used to big international events.

So I still maintain that right now, they seem to be under performing. Perhaps there will be some big announcement on Friday about some spectacular events during the year and I will be proven wrong...I hope so馃榾

No problem. Check your connection.

Does it load the watches? Everything opens fine on their website but the watchfinder keeps loading

I suspect he's busy putting together valuable content that he knows everyone will read and digest with great interest tomorrow. He also knows that the few malcontents are the most vocal (whether those impatiently waiting or those who will complain about his coverage) and so being the consummate professional that he is, he'll be focused on doing the best he can to introduce the world to the new products.

I suspect the Swatch world is having a good laugh at Rolex, since detailed drawings and pictures leaked prior to their official announcement. Omega on the other hand has done an incredible job keeping their products under wraps. They must be patting themselves on the back nicely...

Interesting that Deployant have apparently already been authorized to lift the embargo on the Blancpain novelties. They are dating their Blancpain novelties post May 17th.

It is indeed May 17th 04:20am in Singapore, but I thought the media embargo was for all Swatch brand watches until 08:00am CET.

Quite like the new Blancpain Air Command Flyback, more below:

Looks like Blancpain has gone all in on the vintage re-issue trend.

I have heard about the white dial SMP but haven't seen any pics. Do you know where they are?

There's a certain Aqua Terra that I really can't wait to see either in rendering, or in photo. AD that I spoke with who saw it just before Basel was pretty blown away by this particular reference in the metal...
