I like them. By modern standards they can be considered a bit small. If I remember correctly, mine was 34mm. The alarm function is really neat.

Lots of threads on Vulcain as well as other alarm watches. I'd encourage you to search these out and educate yourself before committing cash. Also a few interesting alarm watches for sale in the Watch Sales forum.

I've never paid a lot for an alarm, but then I've never gone after a JLC or an Omega Memomatic. These are fun watches to use; they're sort of like Jack-in-the-Box devices when they go off. I'm not stuck on size like a lot of people so a smallish watch by today's standards is fine with me.

I’ve got a 1971 34mm Hamilton sub brand called Vantage with an AS movement shared with a Tudor. I love it.

I have a couple of Vulcain Crickets. By today's standards they could be considered on the smaller side at 34mm but I have an 8" wrist and don't have any problem wearing mine. They are great fun pieces

Mine says Hi! I'm ashamed to admit I don't know the exact model, just that it's probably from the 50s...

What a beauty!! What would you expect to pay for a cricket? Not terrible fussy on years but that's gorgeous

Really not sure - checking ebay sold listings, there’s only one that looked like the one I have at above 1k, and other models are sub-1k. So it looks like it’s the model that is most popular. Fratello did an article on the same model a few days ago https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-worlds-first-alarm-wrist-watch-vulcain-cricket/
Looks like there’s no ref number on caseback so it makes the hunt harder.
