I don’t know those in detail but my impression is that it’s an amazing score, I’ve seen those discussed elsewhere although never seen them
mentioned as specifically delivered to the German gov, and the OP owes a couple people here a really nice bottle of wine for generously sharing their knowledge and research and allowing someone who’s no expert to land a valuable piece that would be a grail to many.

@bubba48 those email exchanges with Knirim and Omega are incredible.
One also has to give the Swatch Group credit for opening this up entirely—guess it’s also a smart business move for a company that may some day need investors.

The watch looks legit to me. Here is a watch seller in the Czech republic I bought my Zenith Special from if you look at his stock of watches he had a few they all looked like this one. There is a English flag hit that for English go to the pilot watch section and go through it until this model pops ups. Congrats a real nice watch and hope that Omega can help you find were it was sold and it's a issued watch. This guys site is like eye candy.

The movement serial numbers at the Czech website seem to cluster in the range 8814xxx to 8892xxx (fiveout of 8 shown examples), but there are examples at 91xxxxx, 93xxxxx, and 95xxxxx.

Closest to yours is 9103301 which is <500 away from yours.
