Word hit my inbox that a @dougiedude and a few of his pals are in town on Thursday 2nd August, and wanted to have a beer and talk watches. And once you start herding 10 collectors, you might as well herd 25, book a room, and turn this transatlantic horological drinking session into the first ever Time 4A Pint Extraordinary Mini-Meet! - It's free to attend - Space is very limited (the room is 1/2 the size we normally use) And to gain access to a ticket, you'll need to do three things: - Make sure you're signed up to the mailing list at www.time4apint.com - Once you're signed up message me here for an access code - And then use it here Looking forward to seeing folks in the pub.
I'm quite stoked. It will be my first time ever in London (UK, for that matter), ...AND... I get to meet a roomful of imbibing British WIS's?!! Doesn't really get any better than that! I'm so looking forward to meeting some of the many gentlemen and ladies who I've been talking to 'remotely' for so many years
And gents: please don’t hand the access code around, it’s locked down for a reason... tiny event space!
And that’s all 25 spaces gone. Looking forward to welcoming @dougiedude to London, and sinking a few cold pints on Thursday evening.

I got told by a teenaged relative over the weekend that "facebook is for dead people"... so I feel your pain.
I had an awesome time with with everyone at the extraordinary meet ... I was so busy and enjoying myself, I didn’t get the photos that it really deserves, hopefully, someone else will chime in with their photos too. Here’s what I took:
Blue Metalic: 145.022-69 fully serviced by Omega in Bienne. Yes they put those hands on. 105.012-65 found in a Salvation Army shop with opening attempts on the otherwise pristine untouched watch Alaska III 145.012-67 Non Pro Black Racing 2998-1 with tropical dial and BASE1000 105.002-62 FAP 105.003 also serviced by Omega, but I relumed the dial that had been replaced by a service item, luckily hidden in the bottom of the original box when I bought it.
It’s great to have so many overseas visitors at Time4aPint! .....Now we all know why Doug is the Dude. Unfortunately, all my photos seem to be very blurry, I wonder why? Here’s a few, some of them may well be yours @dougiedude
