Orient watch made by Seiko with the 469 automatic movement. 469 was developed from the Seiko 7005 I think. Could be as old as the mid 70's
A vintage (70s?) Orient Crystal auto. Value, according to a quick web search is <$75ish. Interesting find The second pusher at 2 sets the day.
I think Orient is it's own company it is not "made by Seiko". It is under the Seiko Epson group kinda of like Omega and Swatch. They may have used Seiko movements back in the day, but now all their movements are produced in-house. I have been wrong before.
When it comes to Japanese I would go Seiko, but if you are interested any watchmaker could probably get it running again. It is a very attractive color of dial.
Seiko currently owns Orient but they function separately with no shared resources. This watch I think predates the purchase. Neat piece... as for getting it serviced??
I think Orient has now been fully absorbed by Seiko and no longer has a separate corporate status https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orient_Watch
Lol if I get it serviced it may end up costing more than it's worth. I left it alone for now but may go back and pick it up.
