Thrift Store Pickup Real or Fake?

First watch pickup for me. I would assume it’s a fake but with the Company logo and service years on it maybe it’s real. Has a speidel band I do not know how to remove he back to check the insides. If real any thoughts on value?
Any info would be appreciated

Real. Not worth much as probably quartz and not really sort after. $100

And get that bracelet off it before it ruins the lugs

Got one in stainless steel. My first watch, bought in 1987. They sell for 200$ in Scandinavia. And as @STANDY points out, lose that bracelet fast and get a nice leather strap and wear it as a daily beater. It is a rugged little watch.
