I know for most lcds are a major taboo. I have found after being a Quartzophobe and digitalophobe I found a few 70s-80s lcd seikos I like. What lcds do you like/why do you dislike lcds?
    Some I like---
    Seiko M543-5010 from Moonraker

Seiko tv watch used in the worst James Bond film to date(to me)

    Seiko UC-2100

    Seiko G757

Right. So the point of this thread is what?

No pool of knowledge was ever improved by someone crapping into it.

The omega led watches had movements that were developed by Pulsar and used by, amongst others Omega. Looking at used omega led watches on eBay shows that prices are not dissimilar to vintage Pulsar models. I have been looking at them for a while and they do not sell very well. I think the money they are asking is about double collectors would pay. I think this is because it is considered a novelty watch rather than a "proper " watch. They seem to be on offer for between 800 and 1000 usd which, considering what else you could get with that kind of money, is a fair chunk of change. The big problem is that if the led unit needs replacing then it is probably not worth the expense. When the right one comes up for the right price I am going to buy one because I think they are funky. Seiko led watches also command quite a premium but again probably not worth the asking price.
As for quartz watches, I would not dismiss them out of hand, there are quartz watches and quartz watches and although many on here wouldn't touch one with a barge pole those made by rolex ,omega etc are first class.

I have a Casio that holds sentimental value. I'd rock it, but the bracelet is busted.... one day I'll source another just for the bracelet.... but my eye sight is more vintage than the watch and the tiny display gets mocked by my iPhone every time I think about her.

I have a few of them Seiko's and a couple Hamilton's lcd and led are interesting. For me they have a retro look and are fun to wear. They can get a lot of attention my grand kids get a big kick out the one Hamilton led I have. My granddaughter spotted Kojak wearing one on a old re run she calls the watch my kojak watch

I personally am not a fan of LCD/LED. I feel that they eliminate the sophistication of a watch and are almost childish. I think that it is a great thing for kids so they can get into watches or as a utility watch for rough work. However I personally would not purchase one and the only ones I would wear would be those that I inherit from family. We have an old Pulsar at home that my grandmother got as a 30th anniversary gift for my grandfather. Some day I may get it back into wearable condition. I will post a picture of it later today when I am home.

I have a few LCD's but LED I'm still looking for something that would have that retro / futuristic feel

This Seiko because I love the quirky '70's styling

And these 'cause they are Speedmasters with a difference, and I tend to like things which are slightly different

I also have a few quartz watches, mainly the Seiko 7549/7548 series because its a great movement and perfect for a grab and go diver etc

I only really like the ones that I picked above. My first two watches were a Vietnam Quartz and a... Casio G-Shock. I am mostly into ww1 to early 60s military and dress watches.

I'm pretty sure I had one of those as a kid, but not in gold. Ah, memories.
