Hi, I just got this watch, my first. Details are as follows Calibre: 30 T2 SC Movement 10.373.473 Case ref: 2506 Year: 1944 Does anyone have any more info as to likely history? Possibly military? Dial is retouched - I'm told same as original. Is this likely? Presume not particularly rare? Possibly overpaid a bit but its keeping excellent time and I'm very happy with it! Thanks!
if you are truely happy with it - then you didnt overspend ;-) I personally cut those really old watches some slack concerning redials ... I'd rather see them being used with a good redial than to rot in some drawer due to their orig. aesthetics
Nice looking watch. Enjoy it. As far as the watch, there is no indication the watch is military. Also, the dial is redone and not in a style that was used in that era.
