I'm new to this forum but I've visited plenty and I'd love to get any input on this watch. To my eye it seems to be original but I've never seen this type of hands or dial configuration. I get a low reading on a geigercounter so I believe its old radium.

Its a 32.5mm waterproof type case with a recessed crown.

Thanks for any thoughts that can be offered.

Thanks for the quick response, I also think its a great design. Probably was very effective for night viewing when the radium glowed.

If you're new to vintage, make sure you try a 32.5mm or similar in real life before you commit to it. I've made some silly mistakes before..

Looks like a nice cal 302, antimagnetic, and allows a thinner case. Notice the the regulator is quite retarded. Perhaps a candidate for a clean and oil? Lovely dial.

Kreyke - agreed 32.5mm is on the smaller side but one I could still wear occasionally

Mondodec - thanks, I forgot the R17.8 was renumbered to the 300's, but I believe this would technically still be the R cal since its 1940's

Watchknut - It will be up on Ebay later today, I just wanted to check with the Omega experts since it was a design I hadn't seen personally and I couldn't find any other examples.

    Thanks for the help!

Glad to have another local NC guy on here!

BTW, I'll be on touch as some of us were thinking of having a big GTG later this summer in Greensboro...so that the Raleigh and Charlotte people can get together in a central place.

Could be a lot of fun, as each town has a solid watch group.

That would be awesome! I'm in Greensboro, is there already a group in town? I knew there was a monthly meetup in Cary but hadn't heard of one closer.
