    Being no Omega expert, I would still wager that the brass ring is non-original, machined to make that 1930s Omega movement fit an incompatible case - hence the two 'incomplete', redundant screw holes.

    (Judging by your post count you also know this and are fishing for wittier remarks than mine! )
