    Hi,

Nice watch, all seems original except the chrono seconds hand, the only bad points are the dammaged pushers and the price.
There are pins on the horns to hold the springbars, I think that it's a later repair.

    Cheers

Agree with @10H10 , except.. not sure but I think the chrono seconds hand is original, but will have to double check with Sala later on. And to add the caseback is a bit scratched up too.. I think the worst part of this one may be the price.

Mine says hello, a very closely related brother:

Ok, good thing @x3no posted his, which allows me to compare and learn more. As @10H10 said, the chrono second hand isn't original. Is it because the one in the link has a pointier end?

After getting out my Sala book, indeed the chrono hand looks just a bit shorter than the original, so I'm not sure what's going on there. Almost as if the tip was cut of for some reason.

I confess I was also looking at the same watch, and had PM-ed @ELV web for a consult too (thanks E!). The dial is nice indeed.

I then compared it to a similar watch sold here last month by Marcel Guinchard

I had initially thought this Italian watch was a redial as I thought the fonts looked slightly taller and skinnier than the one MG sold, but it looks like I was wrong! This Italian watch does have a shorter chrono second hand tho (which I had missed) compared to the MG watch

Thanks 10h10! Once again, the collective wisdom of fellow forumers here has helped me avoid a problematic watch

Here's another one, somewhat like the OP's watch in question and pretty much the same one as mine, except beat up dial. Again re-inforcing the correct chrono hand and how it "curves at the top" like @10H10 stated.

I hate to do this, but that particular seller is notorious for selling bitsa watches. I would tread very carefully if anything they sell interests you.

Great piece, I'm looking at one pretty much identical to this, I think. Rose gold 18k? Some one in similar condition would $1500 be about right?

This is a good example of the reference value of including a pic in a post in addition to a link: the watch in question is no longer listed (I tried the link a few minutes ago).

Well the link seems to be no longer active, so the question(s) may be gone ...

The chrono seconds hand, to me, looks a little big, but it could just be the angle of the photo. I also believe the crown might be a replacement. At $1500 with the dial being tired like that, I'd continue my search, but that is just because I like dials to be mint or close to it.

Solid Gold @ $1500 ? I would buy them all day at $1500 ... yes, chrono hand looks too long but is likely to be off another model !
