I like the stainless case, traveling at the moment so can't compare to Sala for the dial. Seems like the gold hands on a SS case is not right? Or does that happen sometimes?

And my opinion is the same: a 50's dial in a 40's case.

My Compax (22295) bought by me in the late 50s also has gold hands in a ss case.

 

thank you. An aside, the moonphase wheel in your watch above is still blue. Are the versions without a face more likely to stay blue? I don't think I have seen a face version still blue. Are they different time periods, face and no face, or is there some other logic to how they are used?

 

According to case serial, it is a 50s dial with a 40's case ...

inset date/moonphase dial is a 50s feature, 40's dials were flat ...
