It is so much cheaper than all the others. I was wondering if I could get some opinions on it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Ome...153406540?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item35d1d1124cPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thanks
That's only the current bid, not a buy it now price. On open auctions these usually sell for about $1100-ish.
I bet this one goes over $1100 and on top of that the movement in these is not one of the best. This movement is somewhat clumsy as the chronograph part of the movement is piggy backed on top of the main movement and from what I've read these are expensive to maintain.
None of the Reduced models have a particularly sought after movement since they all use an ETA base caliber with a DD chronograph module riveted to it. They're reliable and can be pretty accurate, but it's not the stuff that makes collectors get all woozy over.
So any reduced model will be the same? I read somewhere that the 3220 movement is a good one or did I just misunderstand something?
The 3220 is an ETA 2892-A2 with a Dubois Depraz 2020 piggy backed on top. They aren't bad, just pedestrian. You'd be getting a solid movement though so if you like the watch go for it.
