Well the piece is relumed, looks to be a refurbished dial but im not too sure but one thing is for sure, You definitely overpaid for this piece.
Looks nice on the wrist for the general public but such over-redone watches -difficult to imagine how might it have once looked- aren't popular here. Whoever bought it overpaid about £1000 at least, IMO.
The description states that the dial is "restored". This seller caters to the "ooh, shiny!" market and has very few "collector" watches. The case has been polished to hell and back so was probably badly scratched. The dial won't have been great either since it's been refinished, so basically he has made a parts watch into a 4-figure money spinner. The listing contains numerous over-inflated adjectives but no actual lies. Sadly, words like Stuning, Mint, Excellent, Beautiful, Super, Lovely and the rest of it always seem to reel in the unwary and inexperienced. We cannot know whether he's ruined any really good watches or merely given a helping hand to knackered ones. I might not like what he does but he is entitled to do it.
