    Picked this up for $5 and am trying to figure out how old it might be and maybe what it held at one point? If anyone can help that'd be great! Came with the original booklet even though the front page is littered with graphite and is torn... It does have the chairperson's name if that helps? I think it's 1940s.[​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    Wow! That looks like the 1940s to me, but let’s see what the real experts say!

    More important to a vicarious adventurer like me, how did you come to get that venerable receptacle?!

    Nice box! From the 50s I think...

    If you want to easily and quickly make a huge profit, I’ll pay you 10 times what you paid for it ;)

    Wow, looks like it really did hold a Seamaster from the late 50s which would fit mine perfectly! Only missing the little velvet top that the watch sat on. Some more pics from research, also my watchmaker who serviced my Seamaster as pictured sold it to me! Bummer that my page is ripped!
