Thoughts on this Jumbo Seamaster Calendar - Cal. 503

I'm tempted by this reference 2992 but I have a few concerns. Shouldn't the dial say "Calendar" or were there exceptions? It seems very wearable at 36mm. How are these movements regarded in terms of parts/servicing?

    Thanks OF,

It doesn't look like there's any lume on the dial - so at the very least the hands are wrong.

It does not need to say Calendar on the dial.

The cal. 503 is a solid movement and I believe it was the first Omega movement to feature a quick-set function.

IMHO it is the 564 / 565 movement.

Good catch! Any thoughts on the dial? Looks original to me but a bit suspect because of how clean it is. Possible factory replacement?

Depends on what you count as "quick-set". The action needed to set the date on the 503 (and 561) is often called "semi quick-set".

I think it looks fine. I've had earlier Seamasters with just as clean dials :)

Which means it's definitely not quick set...

Case is in good condition, crown is right, dial is in simply amazing condition. I would bring it for service and change the handset. Nice watch.
