Looks original... thoughts? And the patina, while ok now, wonder if that’ll be the case for long... as always, much appreciated!

 

At first glance it looks legit to me. Personally I'm not a big fan of that kind of spotting, but if you're ok with it, that's what matters.

I quite like it. From another angle the patina isn't quite so in your face. Movement looks really well maintained .Case is in good nick. If you're considering buying it it's a question of price I guess.

Looks like a French 18kt rose gold case to me, which is good. I see hallmarks on the back of a lug, do you have a picture of the case back? If 18kt there will be a tiny eagles head hallmark visible. However the case has seen a lot of polishing and is quite soft, especially the bezel which I'd say is severely over polished.

I think the dial will look pretty good in real life and the seller has done his best to show it in the worst possible light in the first picture. The second picture probably gives a more realistic impression of how it really looks.

 

Thanks! It does have the eagle hallmark on the back. Agree with you on the over polishing - based on that and a few things think it’s gonna be a pass for me, but it is a beauty at a decent price. If anyone wants the link?
