hey folks, new here, lurking for quite some time... So, Universal is not an easy topic and, being quite new to the world of UG, I hope I didn't make a bad choice with this one.
Looks great. Hands, dial , pusher and crown look original and in good condition. Moondisk is original with face, even if it has faded from blue to grey. Is there a serial number on the caseback? Guess it is mid to end 1940 and similar to the one I own and showed here
Hey valjoux, thanks! The casenumber is 1043895 and its a 22536 ref as u surely already guessed only bitter pill at the moment: i had it at the watchmaker for 8 months and now, after getting it back and having it on my wrist for a week, the moonphase mechanism seems to have let me down again. Good thing that i have a warranty on that "Repair". Your Tri-Compax is gorgeous as well!!
Lovely find! This was the watch that got me into UG a couple years ago, although my taste has shifted towards their 60's stuff since then. A classic, either way though.
