this one sold before i had a chance to get any info on it. i wasn't able to get the movement #. sold within an hour or two of posting. anyone here pick it up??

I'm curious to know other's assessment of it. The lume on the dial looks re-done to me. The register hands are correct but do not look 58+ yrs old to me. h/m hands are supposed to be correct. i like the mercedes crown.

That case finish... Case looks pretty similar to the one in the Christie's auction, or is it just me?

While it is not the same as the Christies refinished 2915, which had sharp, thick heavy faceted lugs, this watch does look refinished, though much more sympatheticly.

Are the dial and hands original or modern?

i wasn't able to get the price. my guess given recent sales and dealer markup is 125k.

Re-lumed hands or not, that's absolutely beautiful. Hopefully whoever snagged it will actually wear it!

Do you think it was even up for sale or are they just getting footfall? Or Maybe there are retired millionaires typing 2915 in Google all day ;)

Well I like the idea, I think I would be a bit nervous wearing this much $$$$ on my wrist......it's enough not to destroy my DON bezel [emoji23][emoji23]

I do not quite like the idea not too have the prices on the watches for sale, I mean he has got quite a few nice pieces but each time have to inquire really kill the enthusiasm while waiting for him to revert....dealers will be dealers....
