Hi guys Would love to hear your thoughts on this Seamaster...probably a bit too much polishing for most but personally I could get over that. Dial looks original, but is it really? Don't think the crown is... Would also like to know if hands / crown are correct as well as serial number with year 1953. Appreciate the knowledge you share. I think 2576 has a 342 or 344 which is a sub-seconds (mine has a 344). It's rare because the hands and crown are wrong and I believe, so is the movement.
I agree. Should be sub-seconds 342/344 and wrong hands. Should be dauphine hands I believe. Probably a douchebag seller fully aware that it is a franken. Buuuuh
Which is why we damn near beg noobs to watch the Private Watch Sales board on OF instead of wasting time on eBay, until you know what the heck you're doing.
The hob nail dial is nice. I think the movement and dial are an original pair and if it had the correct case it might command a high price.
