Looks like the case back if not the whole case fell prey to the old wheel..shouldn't it be marked 'waterproof' on the bottom? Dial looks original albeit a bit weathered. Beautiful model though http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPECTACULAR...381351125?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item233f081ad5Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Lovely dial, which may well look better in real life. A few light dings on the bezel though it still has its chamfer. A few scratches on the rotor bridge. Medallion is excellent on the case back, but as you say WATERPROOF seems to be missing.
The back of the case has been polished rather aggressively, taking the "Waterproof" engraving with it. They were careful to preserve the medallion, though. The pictures are clear, but not sharp. So there may actually be more detail there than we can see at present. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
It's not the watch I am aiming for but I thought it interesting enough to post here. I'd imagine the removal of waterproof is deterrent enough for most colectors
It might just be the lighting but the markers look pink gold to me...The watch isn't too bad for the price, would not say its collectors standard but not a bad wearer!
Yes, he is. Had the back been in a bit better shape, it would have been listed here first. A nice honest wearable watch, part of a recently acquired collection I'm selling off. Check the sales forum here next week.
