Case has been polished, but I can live with it. Movement looks good and has been recently serviced. The dial appears to be in unusually good condition, but I don’t see any obvious signs of a redial so I’d appreciate feedback from those who are more familiar with this reference than I am. Fair price range for this reference in this condition? Thanks in advance for your opinions. 4B1A157F-0B2F-4E18-8BE5-3866875ED313.jpeg 5478C93D-BF03-48D7-9F68-4C0168EF3B42.jpeg AF5D1CC0-EF87-45D0-8EDF-7F2A1A18B2C3.jpeg D5B60339-C9FC-46FF-B7D4-DEBE56C9A30F.jpeg F633023F-8115-40DD-9AB9-4910E69A5D1D.jpeg 8CB5C458-6A3D-44B2-8626-BB848C392199.jpeg 5ADB7191-522B-48D7-99B2-13AE5031A7B2.jpeg 96750FDF-F088-4DBB-B295-952C6642E879.jpeg

Need larger photos for a proper assessment, but that dial doesn't look correct based on these.

Shouldn't the minute markers be on the edge of the dial? Those inner minute markers should touch the hour markers otherwise...

    Looks suspicious to me

I’m checking against other examples, but I seem to recall that there are dial variations within this reference. I could certainly be mistaken.

    Looks a redial to me

i suspect that the sweep seconds hand is actually the correct length, but someone had redialed / redrawn the minute scale in the wrong place - and thats why the sweep seconds looks too long now !

Another thought - is it simply a dome dial, that someone has tried to turn into a pie pan?

    something just looks very odd

Or a dome dial with a two tone face?

I dont think dome dials were two tone on the 004 ref.

i think someone has redialed a plain dome dial into a pie pan to extract more £$¥€ from newbies

I’ve compared it to a number of photos of 168.004 dials online and I can’t find anything similar, so I’m done. Was hoping that it might be an unusual but legit dial variation. On to the next one.

Thank you for posting this one. It's the same reference as mine and from what I've learned here already, it's very suspicious to me, especially the second markers as already mentioned above... Here is mine, which should be legit according to the experts here , for comparison:

That is what I thought, minute markers touching the hour ones, to match the second hand length.

They left a gap on the OP redial, it shrunk at washing maybe lol
