Wanted to gauge everyone’s thoughts on this 105.012. Everything looks correct, DON in good shape, case slightly polished and lume not as good of a yellow/orange that I prefer. Asking price is 9.5k. Run or move forward?

Lume appears completely gone from the dial and the case is abysmal.

I'd maybe buy it at half the price.

The lume has been scraped off and the hands look to be replacements as the lume looks pretty fresh. Plus it's seen the polishing wheel. If you're looking for a collector grade one, I'd keep looking.

This is not an appealing one. No tritium left on the indexes. Wrong pushers.
    I wouldn't pay more than 7K.

Came to suggest the same thing. To my eyes, the pushers look too tall for a 105.012.

The pushers are one of the more minor concerns here.

Thanks. I tend to agree and really not a fan of the lume on this one. Just thought I'd share and see it from others perspective and to help me form making poor life choices lol.

No movement but yes on the caseback and the engraving is almost gone.

The degree of polishing is critical, I wouldn't like that and the vanished lume isn't nice either. Ask yourself: would you enjoy wearing it.

I wouldn't worry about the movement since this watch is such a hard pass it's silly. Dial and bezel have value as parts though

Depend of the price, bezel is Nice, dial will be attractive with a good relume.
But For me The most important detail are the pusher of course they are not original, it s important to see how they fixed in the case, if they are screwed you will never put the little original one ( if you find a pair) as they are Just pushed.
So Range of price is important.
    Best regards

A competent watchmaker would be able to modify the case to fit press fit pushers

Sure but it s not an easy work as he have to remake the hole ( adding steel soldering). It s a cost

I suggest you study before buying a vintage speedmaster.

We are entering vintage Rolex territory now, not pricewise but "modification"-wise.

I thought the holes for the press fit pushers were larger than the screw-in, so the holes would just need to be reamed out. Do I have that backwards?

(Not really suggesting this should be done. Just curious.)
