I found a seller offering this 105.012-66 and I wanted to share with the world to get your opinions. The case looks heavily polished but the lume and bezel looks really attractive. Hands look original as well. Please let me know your thoughts and a price range to place this watch between. Thanks in advance. 105.012-66_0.PNG 105.012-66_1.PNG 105.012-66_2.PNG

Going to need some pics of the movement and the back... :whistling:

Also, some close-ups of the dial would be nice.

Very soft case. I hope that's not a CB. Is it?

a view under the dial would be appropriate to solicit more honest to goodness opinions. as it is, it may look ok sans over buffed casing (if it indeed belongs to cb66).

The caseband profile indicates a HF case,at least. But it looks really extermly polished. Probably a matter of the price but I wouldn't like this one, the top of the lugs lost all edge.

Would switching the case turn this into a franken watch? Or is that a suitable move if the price is right and the fact I like the dial/bezel. Or is it best to wait for a better op?

I think the soft focus and the lighting make the case look worse than it actually is. If the price is reasonable I would by it, and if the case is really way over polished look for a better case later.

Personally, I think if you have $9K+ to spend on a watch, you have a bit more to spend on one that isn't so overly polished.

Part of the beauty of an old watch to me is its love scars.

$6500 is very not expensive at all for a full set 105.012 ! I find it strange imho

Really! $6500 is the price for a poor condition one ! Plus the boxes, the papers....too good to be true ! Except if the seller doesn't know that price increased.
