This would be my first bid attempt to purchase an Omega. Originally after a sleek SM Deville, however, this dress watch caught my eye, thoughts: Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Yeah, while I am new to this, if this is a redial, its less obvious, but in great condition. Wanted some thoughts
Dial is original and nice as is the case. Not the most collectible model, however. Don't break the bank for this one. gatorcpa
Gator nailed it. You should watch out for GF cases, especially wear at the high spots. This case likes to be in pretty good shape. As others mentioned, less collectable than other models.
The case ref, FX 6282, should be part of an American collection but it is not coming up in the Omega database. 10k GF is certainly a USA case type, though, but the maker's symbol - a 'J' with a spear through it - I don't recognise (someone else here should). If you want a watch to wear rather than lock in a bank vault, this one looks great. As Gator says, it's a really nice dial and that is half the battle. Go for it but set your maximum price and stick to it! John
Jonell Watch Case Co. of New York: http://www.trademarkia.com/j-72141187.html There are other FX6282 Omegas out there with the same case/movement combination, so that looks OK to me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Vintage-Omega-Automatic-Mens-Watch-/261275643809Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network gatorcpa
John and Gatorcpa, thanks a bunch for the very helpful info. John you nailed what I am after. I want a great daily wear Omega to wear to the law office, not looking for a bank vault piece, but do want to keep price way down, as its a daily wear, not an investment/collection piece
